HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WORKOUT FITS
We think there's only one thing worse than leaving your headphones at home on leg day, and that's not caring for your new 'fits, so we've put together a few helpful tips to care for your favourite workout 'fits.
1. ALWAYS READ THE CARE LABEL FIRST
Whether it’s a hoodie, a pair of leggings, your go-to gym bottle or your favourite gym bag, always check the care label before washing. It may sound obvious, but those little symbols carry a lot of important info. They’ll tell you how to wash, dry, and iron your items without causing damage – and they’re there for a reason!
👉 Pro tip: Take a moment to learn what each care symbol means – it can save you from any laundry disasters.
2. WASH YOUR CLOTHES INSIDE OUT
Let’s keep it real – your workout clothes go through a lot. Sweat, dead skin cells and bacteria build up on the inside of your garments, which can lead to some pretty unpleasant smells (worse than your forgotten protein shaker – yeah, we said it).
Washing your clothes inside out helps to tackle those odours more effectively, while also protecting the fabric and any prints or logos on the outside.
3. WASH AT LOW OR COLD TEMPERATURE
We’re all about efficiency – in the gym and at home. Washing your sportswear at 30°C or below not only saves energy but also helps maintain the quality and stretch of your gym gear.
The same goes for our accessories, bottles and shakers need a little TLC. Avoid hot water and dishwashers, as high heat can cause warping or damage.
Instead, hand wash with cool water to keep them looking and functioning their best.
4. AVOID THE TUMBLE DRYER
We love heat for muscle gains – not for our 'fits. Tumble drying can damage fabrics, reduce elasticity and fade logos or prints over time.
Wherever possible, air dry your clothes instead. It’s gentler on your gear, helps it last longer, and cuts down on energy use and emissions.
